Agriculture Minister Atul Bora appreciates Krishi Vigan Kendra, Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Agriculture Minister Atul Bora visited the Krishi Vigan Kendra (KVK), Dibrugarh located at Kordoibam of Lahoal development block of the district. At KVK Dibrugarh Agricultural Minister, Bora was given a warm welcome by Dr Diganta Sharma, Senior Scientist and Head, Dr.Hemchandra Saikia, Dr.Supriya Sonowal, Dr.Sanghamitra Sarma and all other staff. While addressing the gathering of farmers and scientists at the kendra, the Agricultural Minister Atul Bora said, "The way KVK Dibrugarh is providing services to the esteemed farming community is quit appreciable. I hope in coming days farmers will reap more fruitful services from this centre in enhancing their farm income." He urged scientists to develop and popularize suitable technologies which can work fruitfully amidst the situation of climate change. Bora also visited various demonstration plots of pineapple, citrus, mushroom, organic tea cultivation, Tezpur litchi, guava, papaya, dragon fruit plantation plot, nursery unit, azolla and vermicompost production unit of Krishi Vigyan Kendra which are maintained for the hands on training of farmers and their motivation and expressed his satisfaction over these demonstration units. The minister also distributed a paddy thresher to an ideal farmer of Tengakhat Mridul Hazarika.
