Tezpur: Air Marshal RD Mathur, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command (EAC) arrived on a one-day visit to Air Force Station Missamari in Sonitpur district on January 22.
The Air Marshal was accompanied by Shipra Mathur, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), EAC. They were received by Group Captain RK Misra, Station Commander, Air Force Station Missamari and Pallavi Misra, president of AFWWA.
The Air Marshal was briefed about the operations being undertaken by the station. He inspected all units and important sections of the station and the ongoing infrastructure projects. During interaction with air warriors, he emphasized the need to keep pace with new technological developments. He exhorted air warriors to remain physically fit and be ever ready to respond to any contingencies.
Shipra Mathur, president of AFWWA (Regional), EAC, visited various ventures being managed by AFWWA (Local) of Air Force Station Missamari and interacted with the Sanginis.
