NAHARKOTIA: The All Adivasi Students Association Assam, Naharkatia regional unit stated in a press statement that a memorandum had been sent to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal through the Circle Officer of Naharkatia Revenue Circle, Bikram Chettry with the demand to check the sale of illicit liquor (sulai) and molasses. The AASAA also demanded strong action against those who were involved in the illicit liquor business.
