All Assam Unemployed Association felicitates businessmen, entrepreneurs, progressive farmers

The All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) feted a galaxy of businessmen, entrepreneurs, progressive farmers this year too like the previous years.

LAKHIMPUR: The All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) feted a galaxy of businessmen, entrepreneurs, progressive farmers this year too like the previous years.

On this occasion, a felicitation programme was organized at its branch office located at Adarsha Bazaar premises of North Lakhimpur town on Sunday in association with Lakhimpur district unit of the organization. The programme was held under the management of central committee organizing secretary Mohammed Fazalur Rahman, Lakhimpur district unit president Binod Das and joint secretary Bhupen Sonowal. The programme commenced with Jiban Rajkhowa, the central committee general secretary of AAUA, in the chair.

In the programme, prominent businessmen Tarun Dutta, Uday Sankar Hazarika, Narendra Moheswari, Jyoti Prashad Hazarika, Nur Ahmed, Mahen Das, who have managed to engage a lot of unemployed youths in their commercial institutions, were accorded warm felicitation. For the same reason, AAUA feted entrepreneurs Dwipen Borah, Hemanta Saikia, livestock farmer Bidarbha Rajkhowa, progressive farmer Shubheswar Gogoi, Dharmeswar Dutta, street vendor Jogendra Singh. Notably, Jogendra Singh has continued street vending in North Lakhimpur town for 50 years and he has paved way for three unemployed youths for their engagement with his positive gesture.

In the same programme, teachers of Chetia Gaon LP School, Rupa Chetia distributed blankets and other warm clothes to 10 persons living Below Poverty Line (BPL). In addition, AAUA feted a total of 50 senior citizens in the programme wherein a host of prominent persons of Lakhimpur district were present.
