All Bodo Students' Union calls for patience on issue of provincialization of schools

KOKRAJHAR: The president of the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU), Dipen Boro on Monday called upon the teachers and school managing committees to be patient regarding provincialization of schools, especially during the ongoing Model Code of Conduct.

In a press conference held at Banargaon ABSU office, Boro said that all schools were being provincialized across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) as per the spirit of the BTR accord. He said that teachers should not be worried about the pending provincialization process as necessary steps were being carried out for the provincialization.

He added that the process of provincialization was going on under the leadership of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) chairman, RC Jain across the region. Boro said that all venture schools would be provincialized as per the spirit of BTR accord. On the forthcoming assembly election, Boro said the student body wanted peaceful elections. He called upon the administration to ensure free and fair election.
