GOALPARA:The Goalpara district chapter of All India Democratic Students’ Organization took out a rally on Thursday through the main streets of the Goalpara town displaying banners and demanding beginning of admission in Goalpara BT College from this current session.
The state education department has stopped admissions into the Goalpara BT College since the 2019-20 academic session for various reasons, including the lack of permanent teaching staff.The government BT College, imparting B.Ed course, had been a great relief for the teachers as well as the students,especially in comparison to the expensive private colleges.
Various local civic bodies have also appealed to the government to do the needful for re-opening of the college.
