DOOMDOOMA: Along with the rest of the State, All Moran Students' Union (AMSU) burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarmah and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda on Thursday in front of ASTC premises on NH-37 to lodge their vehement protest against central government for not fulfilling their demanding of according ST status to six ethnic communities of Assam. It is mentionable that on September 14, the central government decided to include 15 tribes in the sixth schedule of the Constitution and accord them Schedule Tribe ( ST) status. But the list of fifteen tribes didn't include any of the six ethnic communities of Assam for which they were agitating for so long. As a result on Thursday, agitational programme were carried out in different parts of Assam by these disgruntled six ethnic communities.
