DEMOW: Under the patronage of All Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA), Rajabari sub-branch, and in association with All Tea Tribes Women Association (ATTWA), Rajabari Sub-Branch, Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha, Rajabari Branch, labourers, employees and people, a two-hour demonstration programme was held in Rajabari Tea Estate on Monday.
They protested as the wages of the labourers and employees of Rajabari Tea Estate are not being paid regularly. Moreover, the Rajabari Tea Estate is on lease and is being run by DK Enterprise. The protesters demanded to pay the wages of the labourers and employees of Rajabari Tea Estate on time. Regarding their demands, they submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner of Sivasagar through the Demow Circle Officer.
