LAKHIMPUR: Established in 1998, Dhakuakhana Teacher Training College, the only institution of higher education in Dhakuakhana subdivision, has entered its silver jubilee year this year.
The concluding ceremony of the silver jubilee celebration will be held from October 6 with a three-day programmes. In this connection, the Alumni Association held a general meeting at the college auditorium on Sunday to discuss the entire outline of the programme. The meeting was chaired by Dulu Saikia, former trainee of the college and Principal of West Dhakuakhana Higher Secondary School. The meeting was attended by all the alumni of the college and a full-fledged committee was formed to ensure the overall success of the silver jubilee celebrations. There was also a discussion on the duties of the alumni during the celebration of the silver jubilee of the college. The meeting was attended by Dr Surjit Doley, Pranab Kumar Baruah, Hemant Kumar Baruah and others.
