LAKHIMPUR: A meeting of the Alumni Association of Lakhimpur Commerce College was held on Thursday in the college. The meeting was chaired by RK Saraf, an alumnus of Lakhimpur Commerce College and a renowned chartered accountant and attended by a number of alumni of the institute. The meeting discussed preparedness of organizing an alumni reunion in January and the incoming golden jubilee celebration of the college.
Munin Saikia, secretary of the Alumni Association of Lakhimpur Commerce College spoke about inviting an artiste for that event and presenting a memorabilia to the attending alumni. Maters related to preparing a database of the alumni and publishing a calender and directory were discussed in the meeting. Speaking at the meeting the Principal of the college Dr. Lohit Hazarika spoke about the various proposals in organizing the event of alumni meet and the golden jubilee of the college.
