Alumnus donates textbooks to Lakhimpur Commerce College

An alumnus of the 2003 batch of Lakhimpur Commerce College on Tuesday donated a number of textbooks for the libraries of various academic departments of the college.

LAKHIMPUR: An alumnus of the 2003 batch of Lakhimpur Commerce College on Tuesday donated a number of textbooks for the libraries of various academic departments of the college.

The books donated by Sudipta Baruah, currently a stock market broker, were received by Dr Lohit Hazariuka, Principal, and Runjun Baruah, librarian of the Central Library of the college, at a small function held in the college for that occasion, which was attended by teachers and office staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Lohit Hazarika appreciated the noble effort by Sudipta Baruah in donating textbooks to the college and thanked him for his service. Deepak Borborah, the accountant of the college, presented an alumni plaque to Sudipta Baruah in that function.
