Anganwadi centres to close down in Sivasagar district due to COVID-19 pandemic

DEMOW: In view of the present scenario of COVID-19 pandemic, the Social Welfare Department, Government of Assam, vide notification No.SWD.23/2015/339 dated Dispur, April 27, 2021 authorized the Deputy Commissioners of districts where active COVID cases have crossed the 100 mark on a particular day, to close down the Anganwadi centres. However, dry ration as SNP should be provided door-to-door on a weekly basis. Junumoni Sonowal, Additional District Magistrate, Sivasagar, in exercise of powers conferred under section 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 of Disaster Management Act, 2005, decided to close down the Anganwadi centres in Sivasagar district. This order will come into force with immediate effect.
