JORHAT: The 32nd annual horticulture show of Assam Agricultural University kicked-off with a day-long programme in front of the Dean’s office, AAU.
Hundreds of self-help groups, progressive farmers, florists, and students from the various college of Agriculture, Community Sciences (Food & Nutrition) as well as government-approved nursery farmers participated in the horticulture show from Golaghat, Bokhakhat, Titabor, Sivasagar, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, said Dr. Madhumita Talukdar, OSD-College of Horticulture, on Saturday.
Earlier, the exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of AAU, Dr Ashok Bhattacharyya. He called upon farmers to take up cultivation of seasonal crops and then to go for floriculture and horticulture.
