Another Anti-CAA protest in Moran

Over 20 organization including Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti, Assam Jatiya Parishad participated in the strike

Moran: Another anti-CAA protest was staged in Khowang chariali in Moran on Saturday.

More than hundred people protested against the BJP government.

Along with the demand for the repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) they demanded immediate release for the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi.

And also demanding to stop the rise in prices of essential commodities various national community organizations have raised their voice.

Himanshu Gogoi, one of the key protesters said, "Northeast is different from the other states of India, and so our problems and that is why we cannot compare Assam with All India. We would never accept CAA. And urged the government to keep Assam away from CAA otherwise we would set up more dangerous protest against it."

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), All Tai Ahom Students Union (ATASU), Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad (TAYP), Sonowal Kochari Yuba Mancha (SKYM), the members of Assam Jatiya Parishad, and including over 20 national community organization participated in the strike program.
