Another COVID-19 patients Dilip Kumar Bordoloi died in Mangaldai town

MANGALDAI: Dilip Kumar Bordoloi (65), a resident of Bhebarghat of Mangaldai town, popularly known as Dipuda in the locality, died of COVID-19 in a hospital in Guwahati at about 9.45 pm on Tuesday. He was admitted in the hospital in Guwahati on August 20 with the symptom of pneumonia. He was the eldest son of eminent medical practitioner Rewati Mohan Bordoloi and Bokuli Bordoloi and took his retirement in 2018 as an employee of the State health department. He was the eldest brother of Pratap Bordoloi, chairman of Mangaldai Development Authority, and leaves behind his wife Sabita Bordoloi, daughter Jupi Bordoloi, presently serving as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) at Nalbari, and son Rupam Bordoloi.

On Wednesday his body was taken to his home town from Guwahati as per COVID protocol in presence of Circle Officer of Mangaldai Revenue Circle and his funeral was performed at the public crematorium at Bhebarghat on Wednesday evening. Mangaldai legislator Guru Jyoti Das has deeply mourned the demise of Bordoloi.
