Anti-COVID vaccine drive held in a remote village at Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: A medical team comprising SDMO Dr Rupak Barua, BPM Nitu Sing along with 15 other members from North Jamuguri BPHC, and panchayat representatives, including Dipak Newar, panchayat president of Uttar Mudhadol GP, vaccinated 200 people of Sikam village located in the middle of the Jiya Bharali River, on Friday. The village of Sikam village — located nearly 25 km to the west from Jamuguri— is surrounded by the Jiya Bharali River under Sootea LAC. Before vaccination, the medical team had conducted RAT and no one tested positive.
