APART has initiated programme for promoting agri enterprises in Assam - Kshyamata.

TEZPUR: APART has initiated programme for promoting agri enterprises in Assam - Kshyamata.

In an official release, it was stated that the key objective of the programme is to identify potential agri enterprises and facilitate establishment and growth of agri enterprises through integrated business support services. The programme will offer range of services, including training and capacity building, business advisory services, technology access, facilitating access to market and access to finance through convergence with various government schemes.

The programme will support 1,300 agri enterprises during the project span of four years. The programme will target youth, existing agri enterprises and start-ups in agri and allied sector. In the first year, agri enterprises/ individuals will be enrolled from five districts – Kamrup, Goalpara, Sonitpur, Jorhat and Cachar. The project has started registration of the entrepreneurs for the programme through online and offline mode. Last date of registration is July 31, 2020.
