APCU extended financial aid to kin of deceased scribe

TANGLA: The Udalguri chapter of Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU) extended a financial aid to the bereaved family members of journalist late Dhaneswar Rabha who passed away after battling with Chronic Kidney Disease and was later diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 6.

In an event hosted at Tangla Xahitya Xabha Bhawan in Tangla town in Udalguri district on Sunday, journalists from nooks and corners of the district recalled the dedication and contributions of late Rabha to the field of rural journalism.

President of Udalguri chapter APCU Girish Sarma, APCU Secretary Naba Kumar Deka, senior journalist Gautamjyoti Talukdar extended Rs 10,000 to Sumitra Rabha wife of late Dhaneswar Rabha from special APCU Trust Fund while social activist, Manmohan Boro also extended Rs 5,000 to the bereaved family.
