APSC 2018: Interviews to be held on October 28 for 165 posts

The 544 candidates will now appear for the interview for the 165 posts across departments across Assam

GUWAHATI: A total of 544 candidates have cleared the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2018. The CCE was conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), and the written exam was held in August 2019. The candidates who have cleared the exam will have to sit for the interview for 165 posts on October 28.

The result for the CCE Mains was declared on Monday in compliance with the Gauhati High Court's Order passed on October 9.

The 165 post spreads across various departments of the state. Here is a break-up of the posts across Assam -- there are a total of 43 posts in Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade), 56 posts in Assam Land and Revenue Service (Junior Grade), 10 for the post of Superintendent of Taxes, 2 for Assistant Employment Officer, 1 for Superintendent of Excise, 10 for Labour Inspector, 3 for Inspector of Excise, and 32 for Inspector of Taxes posts.
