Army organizes victory run, equipment display & medical camp at Dighlipara of Tamulpur

As part of the ongoing celebrations of ‘Swarnim Vijay Barsh’, a cycle rally from Shantipur to Ghagra was organized.

BAKSA: As part of the ongoing celebrations of 'Swarnim Vijay Barsh', a cycle rally from Shantipur to Ghagra was organized. The rally witnessed exuberant participation by Army personnel, school students and villagers in large numbers. Patriotism ran high throughout the route and cyclists were greeted with the chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai!'.

Students of 'Hattigor High School' also participated in a 'Victory Run' — which marked the departure of the the 'Victory Flame' from the 'Hattigor Military Station' to the 'Army Camp' at Dighlipara of Tamulpur.

On the occasion here, medals were given to the first five finishers of the 'Victory Run' and certificates of participation were handed over to all participants.

At the Army Camp in Dighlipar, the celebrations commenced with the paying of homage to all soldiers who participated in the 1971 war. The 'Veer Naris' were also and by felicitated on the occasion graced by the veterans of the 1971 war.

Army equipment was displayed and a medical camp was also held under the flagship of "Operation Sadbhavana" were conducted as part of the celebrations. Focus during the medical camp was paid on the general wellbeing of the citizens and on spreading awareness regarding the "Do's and Don'ts" of the ongoing pandemic. Apart from this, the deprived and destitute persons were provided with tricycles, walking sticks, crutches, hearing aids and spectacles.
