UDALGURI: Krishna Kanta Mizar, renowned playback singer and social worker, was felicitated by Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha for his tremendous contribution to the society.
Durga Khatiwada, the president, and Rudra Baral, the general secretary of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha, felicitated him with a gamosa, citation and a replica of ANSS. The Asom Prakashan Parishad also honoured Krishna Mizar on the occasion.
Krishna Kanta Mizar was born in 1966. He was associated with All Assam Nepali Students’ Union, Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha, Asom Nepali Sanskriti Surakshya Parishad and Asom Madhyamik Sikshak aru Karmachari Santha. He has produced Nepali music albums like Mayako Lahar, Dhuk Dhuki Ka Harafharu, Jun Chhune Rahar, Pareli and Juneli. Some of his Assamese song albums are Tomar Sawanite, Sayanika and Hiya. He also has Hindi song albums to his credit like Dil Ke Arman and Love in Mumbai.
