Teok: Even as questions are being raised about the authenticity of slogans like 'Pakistan Zindabad', Asom Yuva Parishad staged a protest in Teok and burnt the effigy of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal.

Protesters blocked the National Highway to register their protest against such anti-India slogan. They also warned of stern action against any such people who dare to raise anti-Indian slogan in Indian soil or indulge in any anti-India activity.

BJP had alleged that Ajmal's supporters raised 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogan on his arrival at Silchar airport, protests have erupted across Assam.

However, now Facebook has posted a 'False Information' notification on the news that was posted on Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's Facebook page.

AIUDF General Secretary, Aminul Islam had on Friday accused BJP of distorting the slogans and said that the slogan that was raised was 'Aziz Khan Zindabad' and not 'Pakistan Zindabad'. AIUDF has accused BJP of playing 'cheap politics' and demanded an enquiry into the whole 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogan episode.
