Assam: 23rd Bn Sashastra Seema Bal apprehends two with 502 kg cannabis in Udalguri

TANGLA: Acting on specific inputs, the 23rd Bn. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stationed at Lalpool in Udalguri district intercepted a huge consignment of cannabis (ganja) and apprehended two people in connection with the incident. The persons have been identified as Mirga Sugriani (40), a resident of Nepalpara village in Udalguri district, and Tiblu Kishan (30), a resident of Batha village in Udalguri district. According to reports, troops of the SSB led by Assistant Commandant Bholanath Haidab recovered a consignment of 502 kg of cannabis (ganja) from Rupa Road and apprehended the peddlers under Balimukh PS under the West-Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday. The apprehended persons, along with the seized contraband, were later handed over to the Balimukh police of Arunachal Pradesh for further lawful action.
