Assam: 3 Teachers Dismissed For Negligence on Duty

All three were on examination duty at the Ganeshkunwari Tribal Secondary School in Bahgara, Sipajhar.

GUWAHATI: On Thursday, three instructors were relieved of their responsibilities in the test center due to negligence during the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam in Sipajhar, Assam.

The three teachers were allegedly accused of performing their tasks improperly in the examination room. It has been determined that Rinki Barman, Abdul Malik, and Abdul Chauhan are the perpetrators in this incident.

The trio were in duty at the Ganeshkunwari Tribal Secondary School in Bahgara, Sipajhar The teachers' dismissal has been ordered by the Executive Magistrate and Revenue Circle Officer.

On Thursday, the incident happened at the Laharighat Higher Secondary School. Eight female students and one male student are among the expelled students. The expulsion of the pupils was due to their use of unethical tactics to pass their social science exam.

Samima Aktara, Mehima Begum, Kasima Khatun, Salma Khatun, Tara Banu, Sahil Alom, Mousumi Begum, Ruptaz Jahan, and Martuja Begum are among the expelled pupils.

In a similar incident, two HSLC candidates were expelled from the S. Ali Higher Secondary School in Sukchar, South Salmara Mankachar district. The candidates were dismissed for employing unethical methods to take the test.

In the meantime, the exams for the social science subject were held on Thursday at the JR Higher Secondary School center in Ganirgram, Cachar district, under rigorous supervision and with tight security measures.

A school teacher in Assam's Kamrup district was fired last year after being accused of sexually assaulting a youngster there. Based on the complaint, a case was filed against him under several IPC and POCSO sections. Apurba Thakuria, the defendant, worked as an assistant teacher in a public school.

On October 14, the Kamrup Inspector of Schools gave him a show-cause notice. Yet he didn't react to the show-cause notice until after the suspension order was issued.
