GUWAHATI: On Thursday, an examination centre in Assam's Morigaon district dismissed at least six students who were taking the general science section of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam.

Sources claim that the event took place at a Moirabari secondary school examination centre when the students were prohibited from taking the test. It is proven that the students misbehaved in the exam room, which prompted the authorities to decide to prevent them from showing up for the test.

It should be noted that the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), which administers the HSLC test in Assam, administered the postponed General Science examination.

A new date for the exam was required because of the issue surrounding the question paper leak instances. A portion of candidates purportedly obtained access to the General Science (C3) subject's question paper before the test since it had reportedly been leaked.

After the revelation, SEBA quickly announced the cancellation of the exam via a notification.

Following the leak of the question paper, the Assam Police conducted a thorough investigation to identify the individuals responsible and bring them to justice. Many people were detained as a result, including instructors and pupils.

In the early hours of Thursday in Assam's Dhubri district, several school students were hurt in a head-on collision between an e-rickshaw and a fast vehicle.  An e-rickshaw carrying students who were travelling to take their High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) board examinations was struck head-on by a speeding car with the registration number "AS 01E 4732" in the incident that was reported on Indira Gandhi Road.

Together with the students, the e-rickshaw drivers also suffered critical wounds. The impact was so severe, according to eyewitnesses, that the e-rickshaw toppled and the kids were thrown from their seats.

After the tragedy, Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) received a surge of injured patients for treatment. Local law enforcement arrived at the scene in the interim and impounded the accident-related vehicle.
