Assam: 67th Foundation Day of Tinsukia College observed

TINSUKIA: The 67th Foundation Day of Tinsukia College was observed with day-long programme.

The celebration began with cleanliness drive in the campus by NSS & Eco club volunteers followed by lighting of foundation day lamp by Dilip Kalita, president of GB. The newly-constructed Arts building constructed under RUSA scheme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sanjoy Kishan, Minister for Labour & Tea Tribes Welfare, in presence of past and present faculty members and a large number of students.

The open session was addressed by noted AIR singer Luit Das as invited speaker, who is also an alumnus. Das also released two books, namely Prapancha-a collection of research based articles on Arts and Commerce edited by Dr Mayuri Sharma Baruah and Dr Ratna Gopal Gogoi and Horizon- a collection of research based articles on multi-disciplinary science edited by Dr Satyajyoti Gogoi. Kishan, also an alumnus of the college, in his brief speech assured to provide further financial support to improve the infrastructure of the college.
