KOKRAJHAR: The 6th Bn. SSB, Ranighuli on Friday organized a mega plantation drive outside the battalion campus in Kokrajhar and in the AOR of company headquarter, Dadgari near the Bhutan border in connection with the mega plantation drive where Union Home and Cooperation Minister planted four crore saplings at GC, CRPF in Greater Noida (UP).
Sources from SSB said the plantation drive at battalion headquarters was led by Amit Kumar Thakur, DIG of SHQ, Bongaigaon, who is present at Battalion headquarter for unit formal inspection. The unit personnel, villagers, SSB families and school students participated in the mega plantation. A total of 1,800 saplings of various species were planted during the special plantation drive.
