LAKHIMPUR: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Lakhimpur, in collaboration with Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Government of Assam and Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Joyhing, organised an animal health camp at Bherekichuk under Boginodi block on Friday. The treatment camp was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Prasanta Kumar Pathak, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, Lakhimpur and officiated by Dr. Arindam Chakraborty, Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science).
Dr. Kuladhar Saikia, District Veterinary officer, Dr. Diganta Pegu, Veterinary Officer and Dr. Manoj Kalita, Dr. Kaushik Kakoty and Dr. Dipjyoti Mahanta, Assistant Professors of Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science also provided their expertise in the health camp. More than 350 livestock and poultry were treated against various disease conditions thereby providing a much needed support and relief to the livestock rearers of the area.
