Assam: APSC Mains to be Conducted on 8,9 and 10 July

The question papers can be attempted in the Assamese language as well.

GUWAHATI: The Assam Public Service Commission has announced that the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2022 will be held on 8, 9 and 10 July 2023. The examination consists of six conventional-type question papers, namely Essay Paper, GS Paper - I, II, III, IV and V for a total of 1500 marks. The papers can be attempted in the Assamese language as well. The last date for submission of the application form for the Combined Competitive Examination, 2022 was 8 May.

A total of 74,368 candidates had applied for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2022, out of which 10,148 candidates have qualified for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2022. Amongst the 74,368 applicants, more than 10,000 applicants are Engineering graduates and above 800 applicants are Agriculture and Veterinary graduates. It is noteworthy to mention that there are 258 PhD candidates and 37 MBBS candidates had applied for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2022.

The Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2022 will be conducted in 15 venues across seven zones out of which, 5857 candidates are from Guwahati, 1646 candidates are from Jorhat, 643 candidates are from Nagaon, 581 candidates are from Lakhimpur, 518 candidates are from Tezpur, 491 candidates are from Bongaigaon and 260 candidates are from Silchar

The recruitment process for the Combined Competitive Examination, 2022 was published with advertisement number 26/2022, for filling up 913 posts across 27 services of the state of Assam. Out of the 27 services listed under the umbrella of Combined Competitive Examination, 2022, a total of 15 services have been newly incorporated Assam Urban Administrative Service (103 posts), Assam Financial Service (20 posts), Assistant Audit Officer (77 posts), Administrative Officer (Minorities Development Board) (1 post), Assistant Accounts Officer (415 posts) among other services.

APSC also announced that the examination will be conducted with utmost regard towards maintaining fairness and integrity of the entire process.
