Jagiroad: The All Tiwa Students' Union (ATSU) on Friday strictly opposed the State Government's decision to extend the capital area upto Jagiroad. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced extension of capital area to the Jagiroad paper mill area. ATSU advisor Rimal Amshi and president Dipak Amsong on Friday vehemently criticized the government initiative to extend the capital area, rather they demanded Sixth Schedule status for their safety and security. The leaders also threatened to launch rigorous movement against the government proposal.
