Assam: ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign launched in Nalbari district

In line with the virtual inauguration of the special initiative ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign launched by President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday from Gujarat, the campaign was formally launched in the Nalbari district too.

NALBARI: In line with the virtual inauguration of the special initiative ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign launched by President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday from Gujarat, the campaign was formally launched in the Nalbari district too.

Nalbari District Commissioner Varnali Deka formally announced the launch of the drive in the district at an event organized at the DC’s office conference hall in the presence of ADC Health, Health department officials and staff and others.

‘Ayushman Bhava’ is a ground-breaking initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the motto to provide healthcare services to every nook and corner of the country to ensure mental, physical and spiritual well-being with a longer life expectancy, thereby enhancing the public health index of India. The drive will kick off in the field under the ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ campaign from September 17. The campaign will be covered under three stages namely- Ayushman Aap ke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Mela and Ayushman Sabha.

DC Varnali Deka, in her speech urged to enhance the quality of health in the district and directed to create adequate awareness about the health schemes at all levels to touch each and every one in the society. She also encouraged the health fraternity to effectively complete all three stages of the campaign and sought pro-active participation in this significant event.

In the event, three Nikshay Mitras, namely Prithibhushan Deka, president of Gramya Vikash Mancha, Dr Kaushik Kr. Deka, Associate Prof. MNC Balika Mahavidyalaya, Debajit Kalita, Labour Officer, Nalbari, were felicitated for their selfless volunteer service towards eradication of tuberculosis.

The formal launch event of Ayusman Bhavah was attended by ADC Asutosh Deka, Joint Director of Health, Subhash Ch.Sarma, and others.
