PATHSALA: In a successful operation, Bajali police on Tuesday conducted an operation near Golia toll gate in the Bajali district against an illicit sex racket. They also rescued a minor girl during the raid. As per sources, the operation took place at ‘Ashirbad Hotel and Restaurant’ in Bhawanipur. According to officials, they had been receiving many complaints against the food joint, based on which they carried out this operation. Furthermore, the police also booked a woman who is believed to be involved in this racket.
Meanwhile, the manager of the hotel, identified as Safiur Rahman, was also detained by the police. As per information, the Bhawanipur area has become a hub of illegal activities. Few days ago, Bajali police conducted an operation in a dhaba against illicit liquor from the same place in Bhawanipur. They seized 107 bottles of illicit liquor from the dhaba and arrested one person.
