DEMOW: In Kokilamari, close to Demow in the Thowra Constituency, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitai-Panidehing Mandal, arranged a Jana Xabha on Monday, which was attended by State Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika. “Speaking to the crowd, State Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika stated that the Thowra Constituency has received Rs 34 crores from the Water Resources department during the previous two years thanks to the efforts of the BJP government. According to him, the erosion protection scheme's foundation stone was placed today and will be used for porcupine screens and geobag protection. Pijush Hazarika discussed the Assamese development projects. He took aim at Bhupen Borah, the head of the APCC, and the Congress Party. He asked the public to give the BJP their important votes. In the meeting, Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain, Topon Kumar Gogoi, Jorhat MP, Mayur Borgohain were present.
