GUWAHATI: Celebrating 100th birth anniversary of Late Mohini Bala Dutta, wife of Late Dandi Ram Dutta, Former Deputy Minister, Assam, resident of Mangaldoi’s Chamuapara village, a grand ceremony was hosted recently by her family members. All well-wishers including local residents of the Chamuapara village were invited for the celebration. The celebration started with offering prayers in the honour of Late Mohini Bala Dutta by lighting diyas at her Samadhi followed by a session of Naam by the local women folk. According to her family members, in the upcoming months as a tribute to Late Mohini Bala Dutta, (who left for her heavenly abode in the year 1987) by her family members, there will be several activities planned for the local students and women of the village. Some of the activities include drawing and story recital competitions amongst the students followed by felicitation programme for all the hardworking students from the village and Naam competition for the local women.
