Assam Boy Lifts Ironman Trophy Held In Mexico

A boy from Assam's Sivasagar district, Ujjal Baruah gained victory in the Ironman Championship held in Mexico

GUWAHATI : Youths from Assam has been making the state proud, constantly. Recently, Assam boy Ujjal Baruah who is originally from Sivasagar district won the the title of Ironman, held in Mexico. 

He is also the nephew of Arjun Bhogeshwar Baruah, a gold medalist at the Asian Games. He won the gold in 800m race. 

Ujjal Baruah after his victory stated that, contestants need to cover 3.8 km swim, 180.2 km long bicycle ride, a running race of 42.2 km in 16 hours. The tasks are required to complete accordingly in order to secure victory. 

Furthermore he shared how he used to practice for 15 hours per week, dividing all the task as needed. Bhogeshwar Baruah is extremely happy with Ujjal's victory and emphasised on the fact that, there is nothing called impossible in this world. 

With proper amount of dedication one can achieve it all. In the year 2018, another athlete from Assam's Dibrugarh district named Abhijit Konwar, won the title of Ironman which was held in Malaysia. 

It is widely considered as one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world. 

Talking about shining stars of Assam, Riyan Parag is currently in the buzz who dragged Assam to gain victory while defeating Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy. Initially there was little hope for Assam to win the round, however the tables got turned after the entry of Riyan Parag and Rishav Das.

Parag's superb knock of 78 runs off and 28 balls emerged just when it was much needed. Furthermore, on the 28th of November, Riyan Parag defeated Jammu and Kashmir and restricted them from entering the semi finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.

Now, his fans are demanding his inclusion in the Indian Cricket team. He is impressing everyone with his sharp techniques in the field of cricket.
