GUWAHATI: A team of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) from Pragjyotishpur Police Station arrested Manab Barman. The team caught him with a reported stolen mobile phone. A further investigation led to the recovery of four more stolen mobile phones and the consequent arrest of Dhrubajit Tassa and Abhijit Hazarika.
On the other hand, a team of West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) from Jalukbari Out Post arrested one after he was caught red-handed while trying to steal a bicycle from Gauhati University campus. The miscreant is identified as Ganesh Das of Agiyathuri Barmanpara, Hajo. Further investigation led to the recovery of four more bicycles from his possession.
Again, a team of West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) of Fatashil Ambari arrested Rupak Das (22) of Tribeni Path. The team caught him with a stolen phone, which was reportedly stolen from Nepali Mandir area. The necessary steps are taken to return it to its owner.
