Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah Visits Mushalpur for 17 Bedded ICU Unit

Chief Secretary, Assam, Jishnu Baruah visited Dr Ravi Boro Civil Hospital, Mushalpur on Wednesday to take stock of the ongoing construction of the 17-bedded ICU unit.

BAKSA: Chief Secretary, Assam, Jishnu Baruah visited Dr Ravi Boro Civil Hospital, Mushalpur on Wednesday to take stock of the ongoing construction of the 17-bedded ICU unit. After the inspection, he expressed satisfaction over the ongoing progress. He was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, Ayush Garg, Joint Director of Health and Family Welfare, Baksa, Dr Mobidur Rahman and other officials of the district administration.

After that he went to Dumuni Tea Estate to have a look at the COVID Care Centre established in the tea garden. With a two days' programme, the Chief Secretary reached Mushalpur on Tuesday. The Chief Secretary chaired a review meeting at Deputy Commissioner's office conference hall. He viewed a power-point presentation prepared on the present COVID scenario and flood preparation in the entire district. In the review meeting, he asked the district administration to be prepared for any kind of eventualities during the forthcoming flood situation with all kind of logistics. After reviewing the COVID scenario, the Chief Secretary asked the Health Department to gear up for the vaccination programme, with emphasis on the age group of 18 to 44 years, within the next 10 days.
