Assam: Child rescued by team of scribes and Police of Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: One deaf and dumb boy was spotted by an employee of Naduar Education Block at Nagaya Barua Chuk, Sootea in a semi-naked condition on Tuesday. He is nearly 14 years old. The rescuer immediately made an arrangement for clothes for the boy and informed the team of scribes of Sootea and Sootea Police too. The team of scribes and police as well informed the Child Protection team. Similarly, Moti Kumar Newar, Chairman of Child Welfare Committee, Biswanath along with his team reached the venue and rescued the boy and was taken to Child Care Institute, a shelter home for children in Biswanath. When contacted Moti Kumar Newar, he said that the rescued child hailed from Udaypur, Kusumtola and his parents are Bijoy Gogoi and Jyoti Nayak.
