Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Turns 54 Today

GUWAHATI : Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma turns 54 on 1st February, Wednesday. As per the reports, a huge number of crowd gathered at CMs residence at the midnight to wish him on his birthday. 

Himanta Biswa Sarma celebrated the day by cutting cake with his friends, well wishers and followers with all smiles. The people were highly enthusiastic and clicked lots of pictures with the CM. The BJP leader was born on 1st February, 1969 in Assam's Jorhat district. 

He is leading his position as the health and finance minister of Assam in BJP government. Along with a midnight surprise by his supporters, the CM also received birthday wishes from PM Narendra Modi and varied dignitaries of India. 

Modi wished Himanta Biswa Sarma through his individual twitter handle. One his tweet, Modi termed the CM as 'enthusiastic'. 'Birthday greetings to Assam's energetic Chief Minister Shri @himantabiswa ji. He is making commendable efforts to serve the people of Assam and boost the state's growth. Praying for his long and healthy life in service of the people', Modi tweeted. 

Along with the Prime Minister, Union Minister Amit Shah also wished the CM on his birthday. Shah tweeted, 'Birthday greetings to CM Assam @himantabiswas. His untiring efforts to carry the development agenda of PM @narendramodi have successfully brough about peace and progress in Assam. May the almighty bless him with a long and healthy life'. 

Himanta Biswa Sarma while interacting with the media stated that, he feels immensely blessed to be surrounded by such a huge fan followers and seeks blessings from everyone. The minister is also scheduled to inaugurate the foot over bridge in Guwahati's fancy bazaar area today. 

Meanwhile, the CM attend a meeting on Tuesday with AK Sharma, the Power minister of Uttar Pradesh. As per Himanta Biswa Sarma, this particular meeting will enhance growth and industrialisation and also meet the energy needs.
