Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal visits Wing Commander Barnali Gogoi's residence

The CM visited Barnali Gogoi's residence to congratulate her mother and extend wishes for Barnali for making the state proud

Lakhimpur: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited Wing Commander Barnali Gogoi's residence to extend his best wishes for Barnali and her family.

Barnali Gogoi, who hails from Lakhimpur, became the first Assamese woman to be selected as a Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force (IAF). She is a 1996 batch pilot officer who got promoted from Flying Lieutenant to Wing Commander.

A gold medalist in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Assam Engineering College, she completed her masters in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Barnali Gogoi is the daughter of late Premadhar Gogoi and Anjali Gogoi from Lakhimpur.
