Assam: Competitions under Sanskritik Mahasangram begins in Nalbari

Minister of Public Health, Technical, Tourism etc., Government of Assam Jayanta Mallabaruah inaugurated the Nalbari district level competitions of Sanskritik Mahasangram at Nalbari Natya Mandir on Thursday.

Nalbari: Minister of Public Health, Technical, Tourism etc., Government of Assam Jayanta Mallabaruah inaugurated the Nalbari district level competitions of Sanskritik Mahasangram at Nalbari Natya Mandir on Thursday. He was accompanied by Nalbari District Commissioner Varnali Deka, Nalbari Zila Parishad Chairman Nitul Deka, Nalbari Municipality Chairman Jayshree Talukdar, prominent social worker Dr.Bhupesh Sarma and Chief Judge of district level competitions of Nalbari District Cultural Mahasangram Alkesh Baruah.

In his inaugural address, Minister of Government of Assam Jayant Mallabaruah appreciated and expressed his sincere gratitude for the visionary initiatives like the Cultural Maha Sangram to ensure development by identifying the latent cultural talents of the State and providing them with a proper platform. He said such programmes would give the present generation the opportunity to move forward with their abilities rather than wasting their time engaged in other activities without positive results.

A total of 125 contestants have been promoted to the district level competition after excelling in the cultural Mahasangram competition which started at the village level on November 10 and subsequently held at the assembly level.
