LAKHIMPUR: College of Teacher Education, Dhakuakhana, has completed its twenty five years this year. During the past years, the college has managed to establish its unique existence in the field of teacher training in the State. The college has celebrated its Silver Jubilee Festival by organizing various programmes and functions. The concluding ceremony of the same will be held with three-day long programmes from October 6 to October 8. At present, the college authority and the celebration committee, comprised of 25 sub-committees, have continued their preparations to host the event successfully.
On October 6, the agenda of the event will kick off with a massive plantation drive to be inaugurated by ‘Aranya Manab’ Jadav Payeng. Then Principal Dr. Pradip Chandra Borah will hoist the college flag while celebration committee president Purnananda Gogoi will hoist the silver jubilee flag. The second day agenda of the event on October 7 will start with registration of the former trainees of the college. On the concluding day, on October 8, a colourful cultural procession will be taken out.
