Assam: CRPF jawan stabbed to death in Bordumsa

BORDUMSA/JAGUN: A CRPF jawan was allegedly stabbed to death in Bordumsa along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border check gate on Wednesday evening. He was allegedly stabbed by an unidentified person on a motorcycle.

As per information, the CRPF jawan was identified as Sunil Kumar Pandey. He was in civil dress when he was stabbed to death. The area where he was stabbed is near Madhapur Bazar in the Tinsukia district along the Assam-Arunachal border. He was posted in Arunachal. The accused stabbed him with a sharp knife and sped away.

Sources informed that the constable was out with other personnel to shop on the occasion of Janmashtami. He was called by the accused to come near him and then the accused stabbed him. After committing the crime, the accused fled towards Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh.

Pandey was taken to a medical facility for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries. No arrest had been made till the time of filing this report.
