Assam: Dhubri transforms into mini Ayodhya in celebration of consecration of Ram Lalla

DHUBRI: On Monday, the atmosphere was filled with Rama chants as the streets of Dhubri town were decked out in celebration of the consecration of the idol of Ram at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Not only streets but all the temples of Dhubri district were cleaned up and decorated with flowers and flags of Ram in and around the temples and sound system played round the clock the religious songs.

Nearly at 41 places, Ram was worshipped and puja was performed by the priests and prasad like sweets and khichdi were distributed among the people.

Several organisations including Dhubri District unit of BJP took out rallies in the town and celebrated the consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

Talking to The Sentinel, a state executive member of BJP and senior leader of Dhubri district, Bimal Oswal said that after 500 years, aspirations of people to have a Ram Temple in Ayodhya was fulfilled with the installation of idol of lord Ram there.

“Unbound joy and happiness of people of Dhubri was absolutely unbelievable as every corner of the town saffronised with decoration, flags and hoardings of Ram. Dhubri transformed into a mini Ayodhya. We are proud that we are witnessing this historic day of the country,” Oswal beaming with joy said.
