JAMUGURIHAT: The two-day Digdarshan Samaroh organized on the auspicious occasion of Fateha Dwaj Daham by All Assam Gariya Jatiya Parishad in association with Biswanath district committee and in support of the people of Ghahigaon village, Sootea, began on Saturday. The first day programme held at Nurpur village began with hoisting of the institutional flag followed by state level Jikir competition. Jikir teams from Golaghat, Shivsagar, Jorhat, Nagaon along with local teams participated in the competition. Rimpi Tamuli’s Jikir team, Shivsagar bagged the first prize while Toufik Ahmed’s Jikir team from Kaliabor bagged the second prize and Tazmin Sultana’s team from Biswanath and Soiyada Nabija’s Jikir team from Shivsagar bagged the third prizes respectively. Nekibuj Jaman, Aman Ahmed and Tafjul Ahmed graced the Jikir competition as judges.
