MANGALDAI: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption and Vigilance of Assam Police has arrested District Agriculture Officer of Darrang Bidyut Bikash Talukdar on the charge of receiving an amount of Rs 3000 as bribe from a fertilizer trader. He has been caught red handed while he was receiving the amount from one Joynal Abedin of Kharupetia area. The arrested official had asked the fertilizer trader to pay the amount for recommending the trader’s name to undergo departmental training to obtain the license to run his fertilizer business.
