Assam: District Health Society Tinsukia organized Ayushman Mela

The District Health Society Tinsukia organized Ayushman Mela as part of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign by engaging 8 various specialized doctors, including doctors from AMCH, in Digboi CHC on Thursday.

TINSUKIA: The District Health Society Tinsukia organized Ayushman Mela as part of the Ayushman Bhavah campaign by engaging 8 various specialized doctors, including doctors from AMCH, in Digboi CHC on Thursday.

A total of 452 patients were screened and treated for various ailments, including Non-Communicable Diseases Screening (NCD).

Addressing the gathering, Dr Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Joint DHS Tinsukia said that Ayushman Bhavah also aims to provide Ayushman cards, generate ABHA IDs, and raise awareness about vital health schemes and disease conditions, such as non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. ADC (Health) Chinmoy Pathak, while highlighting the main objective of ‘Ayushman Bhavah’, said that the campaign is to enhance awareness of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), ABHA ID generation and services related to screening and management of non-communicable diseases and sickle cell disease.
