HAFLONG: In order to strengthen the routine vaccination process and expand immunization coverage to all children and pregnant women in the Dima Hasao district, a second-round meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) in connection with the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 was held at the office chamber of Deputy Secretary, DHAC, Rebecca Changsan, ACS, Haflong on Friday.
In the meeting, District Immunization Officer Dr Marina Changsan informed that the routine vaccination process will be conducted in three rounds - one each in August, September and October 2023. The first round of immunization under Mission Indradhanush 5.0 was already concluded from August 7-12, and now it will be followed by the second round from September 11-16 to cover children in the age group of 0-5 years and pregnant women who have been left out or missed the immunization.
The meeting was attended by officials of the Medical & Health Services, Education and Social Welfare departments.
