DOOMDOOMA:Doomdooma to host the third full-fledged Executive Meeting of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) on October 1 and October 2. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held at Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya Xabha (DSXX) Bhaban on Tuesday with president Bimala Barua in the chair. DSXX secretary Deben Deka explained the objectives and the decision taken by Tinsukia Zilla Xahitya Xabha (TZXX) in this regard. The vice president of AXX Dr. Girish Handique, who also attended the meeting explained the steps to be taken in organizing the executive meeting of the AXX.
The meeting was also attended and addressed by the AXX central committee representative of the District and AXX, Tinsukia branch secretary Arunima Handique, AXX, Barhapjan branch president Chaban Dhekial Phukan, AXX, Kakpathar branch president Alakshit Moran, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP), Doomdooma Regional Committee Secretary Kalyanjyoti Moran, Ward Commissioner Nayan Deka and others. The meeting was attended by Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha (TZXX) assistant secretary Ileswar Chetia, literature and culture lovers and representatives of branches under the district. Later a reception committee was formed with Mrigen Saikia as president, Bimala Baruah and Lalit Gogoi as working president, Deben Deka as secretary, Joy Surya Bora and Dr Pranjit Saikia as joint secretaries, Dinesh Goyal as treasurer and Dhiren Deka as editor. The meeting came to an end with singing of Jatiya Sangeet ‘Oh Mor Aponar Desh’.
