Assam: First lady IPS Diksha Langthasa from Dima Hasao felicitated

HAFLONG: Dima Hasao Autonomous Council organized a felicitation-cum-reception ceremony of Diksha Langthasa for clearing UPSC 2022 on becoming the first lady IPS from Dima Hasao district at District library Auditorium on Friday.

CEM Debolal Gorlosa felicitated and congratulated Diksha Langthasa for bringing laurels to the district as the first lady IPS by securing 664th rank in the All India Civil service examination, 2022 conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Addressing the gathering, CEM Debolal Gorlosa said that this event is not just a mere facilitation programme but it is also to highlight how people from a small district of Dima Hasao have potential and can also shine in such prestigious positions. He added that the current government is bringing a lot of positive changes in the education system of this district by which an education revolution is seen through the good results in board examinations as well as various competitive examinations. Speaking on the occasion he said that he is confident about the caliber and potential of the people of this district and that if guided and properly nurtured, one day our district will become best district in the field of education.

In the programme, chairperson Ranu Langthasa also spoke addressing the gathering and congratulated Diksha on her success. She also encouraged all the students present to work with dedication and perseverance. Towards the end of the programme, Diksha Langthasa shared her success story and thanked CEM Debolal Gorlosa for organizing such a programme to honour her success. She also expressed her gratitude towards her parents who helped her in getting through the prestigious UPSC exam.

The programme was attended by Ratan Jarambusa, EM DHAC, Nojit Kemprai EM, DHAC, Nipolal Hojai EM DHAC and MACs of DHAC, Principal Secretary Thai Tsho Daulagupu, Principal Secretary (N) Debanon Daulagupu and other secretaries. Other present in the programme were various apex bodies, students’ organization, students and teachers.
